Central Broward East-West Transit Study
January 2016-Project Open House
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four hosted a Project Open House to discuss Phase 1 of the Central Broward Transit (CBT) Study in Broward County, Florida. The Project would extend the future Wave Streetcar, currently being implemented in downtown Fort Lauderdale and make important transit connections between downtown Fort Lauderdale, the Greater Fort Lauderdale-Broward County Convention Center/Port Everglades, and the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. This Open House provided a great opportunity to learn about the project, become familiar with the study process, and provide feedback. Notifications were sent out to all residents and owners along the corridor, as well as local agencies and public officials. In addition, an advertisement was posted in the Sun Sentinel and the El Sentinel and an email was sent to business and homeowner associations in an effort to reach interested parties.
The Public Open House was held on January 21, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM:
Embassy Suites Hotel
1100 SE 17th Street
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316
